An important aspect of photography is the skill of effective editing that helps enhance the story being told in the images we make. In our club, we frequently host editing challenges for our members. This involves distributing an original, straight-out-of-camera image (taken and submitted by one of our members) to all members wishing to participate. Each participant then edits the image using software of their choosing to express their creative visions. The results are revealed during the following monthly meeting as we discuss reasons behind the editing choices each person made. It’s an interesting and educational exercise that each participant walks away from with new knowledge and enhanced photography skills.
